MIL trades Eric Wood to ARI for James Pazos.
Both players were Rule 5 selections from the opposite team. This trade allows current team to keep the without rule 5 restrictions.
TEX let us know if there is a different way to handle this.

Where are you getting that the rule 5 restrictions drop off from a trade?
"Any player chosen in the Rule 5 draft may be traded to any team while under the Rule 5 restrictions, but the restrictions transfer to the new team."

They drop off because we are technically returning the player to the original team and then trading them back. Pazos is ARI's player that I selected, Wood is my player that he selected in the rule 5. Its really a player rights trade. This happens in MLB sometimes too, a team trades for the rule 5 player they selected so they can keep him in minors. We can go through the motion of returning the player to each others teams, reset salary to 25K then make the trade. I guess that is technically correct and we would save on salary. Just trying to save you time.

Sorry, didn't catch that they were being returned to their original teams. This is fine in that case.
