Option 1: Leave as is. (Rookie contract is based on time of promotion)
Option 2: For all future promotions, use actual MLB service time to determine arbitration and free agent eligibility. Teams who sign players with less than 6 years of service time as free agents would have control for any time remaining on their rookie contract eligibilty.
